The attachment is not really a problem, I prefer that to a quoted
printable or base64 inlined patch, impossible to use. It also avoids
wasting bandwidth by sending the mail to the majority of subscribes
which are interested in knowing that the patch exists, but do not care
about the implementation details.
However a patch containing the commit message and the author, as the
ones made by git-format-patch makes our job easier.
