Thanks for all the help to everybody! Since all this is a bit too 
complicated for a desktop user, I'll try to understand it better when I 
have more time available. I see there are a lot of man pages for tc-*!

I have tried some of the tips that you have given without much success, 
but from my past experience, I won't get anywhere unless I get to 
understand what each of the commands do, although networking is 
something I've been always scared to death!
