Subject: Adding a DRM slave encoder based on device_nodeJean-Francois Moine <moinejf@free.fr>
Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2014 13:05:53 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <546DCB11.2000109@ti.com> (raw)

Hi,
I was thinking of adding a function to drm_encoder_slave.c for attaching
the slave endcoder based on its device_node.

This would make the i2c slave encoder adding more elegant in device tree
based environments.

My idea is to use the function in tilcdc_slave.c.

I am just wondering if someone has already done this outside mainline
(Jean-Francois?) or if there is a pressing reason for not to add such a
function.

Best regards,
Jyri
