Description: No apparent support for Creative Sounblaster 24 bit. Fedora does not find any sound device. The card works on my windows 2000 partition so it is not a hardware problem. Why is it so difficult to get this card to work? Every other machine I have set up has automatically found the soundcard and made it work on Redhat Suse and Fedora with NO MANUAL CONFIGURATION required. This card is a common one. Dell is a common make of PC. Fedora is a common distribution. Surely I do not have a strange or unique configuration? How do I "use the alsa device "plug:front" so that alsa does the resampling for you" ? Please give some detailed instructions, I am not an alsa expert and I've found no comprehensible alsa documentation on this. I repeat.
