Subject: Dual screen accelerated X11 (fido)
Date: Tue, 28 Apr 2015 12:00:00 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <553F5A20.2000706@basyskom.com> (raw)

Hi,

I currently have a dual-screen X11 setup (LVDS + HDMI) running on a imx6qsabresd,
built using fsl-community-bsp (fido), synced today.

My u-boot video args are:
video=mxcfb1:dev=ldb,LDB-XGA,if=RGB666,bpp=32 video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=RGB24,bpp=32
Other than that I use the stock u-boot setup for now.

In my xorg.conf I have two 'Device' sections using the 'vivante' driver for fb0 and fb2.
The server comes up and I can start applications (e.g. matchbox-terminal) on :0.0 and :0.1.
(xorg.conf: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/518d79c4cbfc49b5f672)

I can also run glmark2-es on :0.0.

Trying glmark2-es2, or eglinfo-x11 (I guess anything using DRI) on :o.1 crashes the X-server.
Which isn't surprising as the server logs this:

[...]
218 [4284851.510] (EE) [drm] Could not set DRM device bus ID.
219 [4284851.510] (EE) VIVANTE(1): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI.
[...]
(Xorg.0.log: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/2b0e3b20cbd1d818c48d)

My questions:
- Is there something wrong with my setup?
- Is there any way to get OpenGL/EGL applications to run on both displays using X11?

FYI:
I can use both displays when using wayland.

Regards,
Sumedha Widyadharma
