Are you using a version of QEMU that predates v2.2.0? -hda did not work
for Q35 prior to 2.2. I recommend using at least v2.4.0 if you are
trying to use Q35 however, as the Q35 machine was not migratable prior
to v2.4.0.
If you are running a modern version, it looks like it could be a bug.
