if i try to start qemu-system-alpha with option -nographic while
installing debian lenny 5.0.10 for alpha
i get this output and qemu hangs - without using -nographic debian is
fully installable

simply reproducible by using only -nographic option qemu-system-alpha
it works for mips, sparc and other platforms except alpha
