It seems that the no-sound bug is caused with the AC'97 codec initialization. Specifying 96000 as ac97_clock parameter won't help, because this value must be from 8000 to 48000 otherwise it is ignored. Please, fill a bug to our bugtrack system. Jaroslav ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tiwai - 01-18-05 17:44 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I guess your problem has nothing to do with ac97_clock. Setting ac97_clock=96000 is simply wrong. If this really works, then something else is broken... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- connolly - 07-22-05 02:46 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I see this problem on Ubuntu also. My motherboard has onboard sound; lspci says: 0000:00:12.0 Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 78) it works fine with ubuntu's linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-386 but not with any of linux-image-2.6.10-5-386, linux-image-2.6.10-5-686, nor linux-image-2.6.10-5-k7 Is it ordinary for a bug to remain in "new" state this long? Anything I can do to help?
