As per my OP, and the 1st document above, I'd added
dom0pvh
to the grub config.
After re-grub2-mkconfig, and reboot -> crash
Changing, per the wiki, to
dom0pvh=1
unfortunately makes no difference. (It'll be useful to get those 3 docs
consistent in usage).
