Thank you for response. When looking at
"https://patchwork.open-mesh.org/patch/4384/" it seems, the patch isn't
implemented because of no more activity after 2 years of discussion.
AFAIK Linus Lüssing, author of the original patch, is still active in
batman-adv project:
Linus, can you please bring this issue to a good end? There will be a
lot of Freifunk friends happy with it - including me.
