Although not mentionned in the original revert commit message this fixes "choppy" USB audio playback on i.MX53. The patch applies cleanly to 4.4.47 and audio playback now works correctly on my i.MX53 board. (By my understanding of Documentation/stable_kernel_rules.txt, a simple email like this should be sufficient for "Option 2"). Thanks, Martin
