Summary:                    Can't hear sound from one of the surround speaker,
while other is working (speakers are functional).
Description: 
With options "Line-In as surround" and "Duplicate front" the right surround
speaker is not working, while others are functional. After uninstalling
ALSA 1.0.8 and installing againg ALSA 1.0.7 with the same mixer
configuration the error is not occures. SoundCard: nForce2 Audio Codec,
Driver: snd-intel8x0, 4 speakers.

When you try alsa driver 1.0.9rc1, make sure its not still using your old
kernel module, look at /proc/asound/version to make sure it's 1.0.9rc1.

Or you could upgrade the whole kernel, but plain 2.6.11 still has the bug.
Try 2.6.11.5 (note the .5 at the end, new kernel versioning for 'stable'
kernel with only small bugfixes, can be downloaded at normal kernel
sources like kernel.org).

It's working now, looks like an overnight rest did the trick. Went and
checked back in 2.6.10. Still not working there with same modules. so
2.6.11 and the new version do the trick. Wonder what the difference is in
the 2.6.10. I hate that because I need to roll some of my drivers by hand
under this kernel.
