First of all, I hope I am posting this question in the right mailling list, and sorry if I'm not, I didn't find another one. So here goes my questions: Could anyone explain to me the different components of cpu freq throttling and all of this. I mean, maybe it's because I'm a newbie. But still, I did my research and couldn't find anything explaining the basics when it comes to all of that. What should I select when I build my kernel ? What are the differences between the different choices? (i'm talking about kernel-configuration now, not how throttling work) (enhanced speedstep, pst, vids, im all confused) My laptop has a Pentium M 1.6Ghz 400FSB (Dothan B0?) but I am running it with 533FSB. But now I'm all confused... what are the differences when I do that? I mean, the built-in VIDs are going to be wrong? (and what are those VIDs btw, why 4 of em'?). And what if I want to undervolt my overclocked cpu? What should I do in order to do that? Modifying speedstep-centrino.c? (saw that on a forum) Hmmm, I understand that I am asking a lot of questions, and I am sorry for that, but I couldn't find my answers anywhere else. Please answer my questions in a not too-technical-way if you can. And also, I'm sorry if my English seems bad, i'm not a native English so please forgive me. Thanks a lot, David.
