I didn't check.. Copyright only affects, well, copying. (Although I hear in Europe, they have "author rights", which covers use as well.) If Redeeman is not distributing his changes, copyright does not apply, and he does not need a license to make such changes. Even so, it's probably still nice to ask. Especially since Hans said that the license change to GPL is based on a gentleman's agreement that people respect his request that the credits will remain intact.
