How is this equivalent?
The original code does:
data = data->parent_data;
data->chip->irq_eoi(data);
which is equivalent to:
data->parent_data->chip->irq_eoi(data->parent_data);
while your change resolves to:
data->chip->irq_eoi(data->parent_data);
Seriously?
