With GIT, you could create:


* -- * -- G --- B
           \     \
             ---- 1 -- 2 -- 3

Or perhaps :

* -- * -- G --- B
           \     \
             ---- G* -- 1 -- 2 -- 3

How do the history viewers handle this situation?
