Yes, that=E2=80=99s how the language works. Proper nouns are capitalize= d, so in plain text the name of this program should always be written =E2=80=9CG= it=E2=80=9D. Only in command examples it is =E2=80=9Cgit=E2=80=9D. Sometimes people mix proper nouns and logos/brands. Proper nouns are under the rules of the language. For example, I can=E2=80=99t go tellin= g people that my name must be written =E2=80=9CteEMu=E2=80=9D because I don=E2=80= =99t own Finnish. In logos the brands=E2=80=99 owner can try to be funny and cool and dif= ferent and write anything they want (like =E2=80=9Cg=C9=A8T=E2=80=9D or =E2=80= =9CG=C4=ABT=E2=80=9D).
