Starting "jackd -d alsa -D emi" and issuing "jackrec -f test.wav -d 5 alsa_pcm:capture_1 alsa_pcm:capture_2" does record a valid file. .asoundrc: pcm.emi { type hw card 1 } ctl.emi { type hw card 1 } Card 0 is a solo1. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Clemens Ladisch - 07-12-05 12:52 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The difference may be that Jack uses a different bit depth. In both cases, jack works and arecord doesn't. One thing I realized: If I open the device capture-only with "jackd ... -C", the recording results are equal to the results of pure arecord. Maybe it has something to do with that. You can see the difference in the sections above.
