Description: No apparent support for Creative Sounblaster 24 bit. Fedora does not find any sound device. Susi finds a device but can't activate it. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sjberryman - 06-13-05 09:33 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- At last some sound from my speakers!!! Thank you very much jcdutton! I only had to adjust the volume of the Analog Front control from alsamixer. Is there a way to make the volume come up on boot or remember the value set before the last shutdown or be settable by the gnome desktop controls? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jcdutton - 06-13-05 10:25 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the alsasound startup script. It is a standard /etc/init.d script that runs at start up and shutdown. At shutdown is stores the mixer settings, and start up is restores them.
