Quite apart from being interested as to how wel= l that works right now, I also imagine you can get quicker responses from the developers of that. If it works, blktap2 would port over to 3.4 quite easily. Probably 3.3 too. -- Keir On 28/05/2009 14:55, "Ray Barnes" wrote: > Thanks Keir.=A0 I've been using the supplied 2.6.18-8 kernels from your sou= rce > repository throughout this issue.=A0 I just tried 3.4.0-release and the lat= est > 3.4.0 from a pull this morning, no change.=A0 Perhaps there's some way (oth= er > than abandoning blktap-backed guests) that I can work around it? > =A0 > -Ray >=20 >=20 > =A0 > On Thu, May 28, 2009 at 8:27 AM, Keir Fraser > wrote: >> On 28/05/2009 13:14, "Ray Barnes" @gmail.= com >> > wrote: >>=20 >>> Problem is present using CentOS 5.x guests using the Cent kernel also.=A0= The >>> aforementioned domU is Debian 4 though.=A0 I've tried this under 3.3.1-re= lease >>> and the latest 3.3.1 from xen-3.3-testing as of two days ago with the s= ame >>> result.=A0 I set maxium loop devices at 255 (was 8), no change.=A0 Also, af= ter >>> the >>> Oops is triggered, I can no longer start domUs (even good ones which wo= uld >>> otherwise not exhibit the problem), until after a reboot.=A0 Is this a Xe= n >>> problem, or should I be looking at the OS or something else? >>=20 >> Probably it's a dom0 kernel issue, in the blktap device driver. >>=20 >> =A0-- Keir >>=20 >>=20 >=20 >=20
