I should have mentioned that in the commit message, but forgot.

  # $WORKDIR [2 operations]

  #     "${BASE_WORKDIR}/${MULTIMACH_TARGET_SYS}/${PN}/${PV}"
  ...
  # pre-expansion value:
  #   "${BASE_WORKDIR}/${MULTIMACH_TARGET_SYS}/${PN}/${PV}"

Because BP = ${BPN}-${PV}, and I think we better stick to the correct
definitions:

  #     "${WORKDIR}/${BP}"
  ...
  # pre-expansion value:
  #   "${WORKDIR}/${BP}"
