Summary: Launching KVM freezes the system
Initial Comment:
Every time kvm is launched, the qemu window opens. Then, after a few seconds, the whole system(Ubuntu-8.04) freezes or reboot.
Tried the ubuntu repository version(kvm-62) and the kvm-69 version, whitout any significant difference.
Tried different guests, Ubuntu(32/64 bit), Gentoo(32), Windows XP, but none is alive for more than 5-6 seconds.
I have a Dell latitude D531 laptop with Ubuntu-8.04 (32bit i686 version) and the Ubuntu standard kernel:
Linux edos 2.6.24-17-generic #1 SMP Thu May 29 00:18:56 CEST 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
AMD Turion CPU:
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 104
model name : AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60
processor : 1
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 104
model name : AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60
launching with:
qemu-system-x86_64 -hda /home/Debian.img
tried the options -no-kvm-irqchip or -no-kvm-pit but no effects.
with -no-kvm it works.
I compiled with -DDEBUG option and attached the resluting file.

No, it appeans ANYTIME I try to launch kvm. Tried various images. Also
tried 2.6.25.4 kernel from kernel.org without success.
I can follow any suggestion to get more debug output...
