Subject: Bluez-plugins and pairing PS3 controller broke bluetooth dongle at hardware level
Date: Wed, 24 Apr 2019 00:50:41 +0200 (CEST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <LdBOD-Q--3-1@tutanota.com> (raw)
Used this bluetooth dongle (https://mediabridgeproducts.com/?wc-api=WC_Quick_View&product=569) for years with no problem. Yesterday installed bluez-plugins on Arch, which contains a necessary plugin to pair PS3 controllers, then I paired a PS3 controller, and now I can't pair anything except the PS3 controller.
Hear me out, I've tried a Linux live CD, and a Windows computer, on all systems devices just pair then immediately disconnect.
I've checked rfkill, it's not blocked on hardware.
I think it actually broke the bluetooth dongle at a hardware level.
