Perhaps switch () instead?

switch (pci_pcie_type(dev)) {
case PCI_EXP_TYPE_ROOT_PORT:
case PCI_EXP_TYPE_UPSTREAM:
case PCI_EXP_TYPE_ENDPOINT:
	break;
default:
	return;
}
