okay I thinks I done it :)
This time I downloaded the latest pom-en from netfilter.org (not cvs)
and also downloaded the lastest iptables.
cat README shows
# KERNEL_DIR=<<where-you-built-your-kernel>> \
IPTABLES_DIR=<<where-the-source-of-iptables>> \
./runme base
