Subject: [AUDiO] MP3 playing
Date: Mon, 10 Jun 2002 00:03:46 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <ae0jgo$f47$2@main.gmane.org> (raw)
Hallo list,
I installed SUSE 7.0 for my Jukebox server.
Soundblaster works fine, NFS also. No problems here.
Even wavplay runs LONG wavs just fine (tested with
a 9 MB long wav file)
Now regarding MP3s I got a problem. mp3blaster,
which seems to apparently have a larger read-ahead
than mpg123, plays the first 10 secs (approx) fine
and then plays distorted sounds (just as repeating bits
of it).
How can I get this done?
What I wonder is that how I can play WAV finely
but not MP3? I got 20 MB of RAM onboard, this should
be enough by far...
Ramses van Pixteren, if you read this, please get
back to me, I followed your exact steps in this
but up to no avail.
Read you soon!!!
Olli
