It is a widely used and modern OTA solution, and it makes a lot of sense to have it packaged in Buildroot. We have not been the best at merging the patches from Adam Duskett keep the Mender packaging up-to-date, but I still believe Mender is very valuable to have in Buildroot. Its rewrite in C++ in its v4 makes Mender even more relevant I believe.
