It would have been nice to actually make the test, and send an updated
patch. So in the end, I did it myself: tried with gcc 14.x, tried with
gcc 15.x.
Also, the commit log should have contained a "Fixes:" tag referencing
the autobuilder failure.
I've applied your patch after doing this and improving the commit
message.
