This has come up before. Talk to the OpenBSD folks. Christian Limpach did the work as a NetBSD developer. Plan 9 was done by a Plan 9 developer. I did the work as a user of FreeBSD. Only Linux was done by the Xen team. If you or someone else steps forward, Christian would probably be happy to answer questions.
