This is centos4.1 so it is enabled by default.

-bash-3.00# cat /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug
/sbin/hotplug


Also what is Aruns workaround? There is no email from Arun in this thread.


He sent out e-mail on August 24th when he had similar problems with
timeouts.
