Summary: Mute switch not working
Description:
Same hw of bug #2059.
Mute switch has no effect.
The notebook I'm using has a button to enable/disable in hardware output,
that's working of course, under windows the event is caught and replied to
mixer (and from mixer the button functionality is called). On linux of
course nothing happends.

It's rather a problem of window manager.
Such an event is handled by an applet (or a daemon) on user-space, not by
the kernel driver.

I think I didn't explain it right way.
If I use alsamixer to mute some channels output, it's done in userspace?
It's not asked to kernel/module to turn off output reproduction?
Of course hardware led and switch it's an userspace daemon work, but
making sound actually disappear when selecting mute option from mixers is
still a userspace task?
(On another notebook with i8x0 I had a wheel to controll via hw the output
BUT when I selected mute from kmix green led I got no sound, as expected.)

If you access to alsamixer, yes, it's a user-space program.
The button event on your laptop is generated over ACPI, and this should be
handled via window manager or an applet running on user-space. That is,
this event handling has nothing to do with the sound driver.
Then the applet processes the event, e.g. changing the mixer status
appropriately. Of course, this is a job of sound driver, but it is
invoked from the applet -- nothing different from a normal operation over
control API.
Some laptops have the built-in stuff, but some not. It pretty depends on
the hardware.

So when I mute/unmute master channel from alsamixer o kmix or other mixer
software it's ok I continue hearing sounds till someone will add some acpi
support? I was thinking that when muting via software was a alsa-lib task
to ask hardware to mute output line.
Ok, so where could I ask support about it?

You mixed up two things -- the mute switch on a mixer application and the
"hardware" mute switch (button) on your laptop.
If the former, e.g. mute on alsamixer, doesn't work, then it's a totally
different problem from what you described in the original post. Please
open another bug.
As mentioned, the latter has no direct relation with the sound driver.
The button event is propagated by another mechanism like ACPI events, not
through the sound driver.
