Subject: Inserting ASCII coded characters
Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2003 12:16:43 +1030 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bnhtd5$8mb$1@sea.gmane.org> (raw)
How can I insert ASCII characters by using their corresponding code?
In Windoze it used to be a case of simply pressing Alt and typing the
ASCII code, for example Alt+179 for a ³.
They are accessable using 'gcharmap', but I have been unable to find a
method using keystrokes in RedHat 7.2
I guess that there is a really simple way of doing this, but have been
unable to find it.
Cheers,
Paul
