Subject: [Bug 102931] Radeon : EDID Reading Incorrectly
Date: Mon, 17 Aug 2015 09:16:49 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-102931-2300-UE5vsYcPDW@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <bug-102931-2300@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/>

Christian König <deathsimple@vodafone.de> changed:

           What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                 CC| |deathsimple@vodafone.de

--- Comment #4 from Christian König <deathsimple@vodafone.de> ---
get-edid calls into the BIOS directly to access the I2C bus and doesn't uses
the driver. With a kernel driver this is pretty much deprecated and shouldn't
be used any more.

Use the one provided in sysfs instead, try: find /sys -name "edid"
