Bug ID: 104371
Summary: [amdgpu] Kernel oops on shutdown: unable to handle
kernel paging request at virtual address
Product: DRI
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: DRM/AMDgpu
Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: ates.emre@gmail.com

dmesg
I have a notebook with AMD RX500 GPU, and the amdgpu kernel module in 4.13.16
linux kernel version sometimes causes hang at shutdown. I think the hang is
more likely to happen the longer I've kept my laptop on, especially if I
connect/disconnect external monitors.
I can attach additional information as requested. So far I've blacklisted the
amdgpu module and haven't encountered any hangs on shutdown.
