            Bug ID: 104898
Summary: backlight problem with the NVIDIA G96GLM [Quadro FX
                    770M]
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/nouveau
          Assignee: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
          Reporter: estellnb-7Km2I/eHSAQdnm+yROfE0A@public.gmane.org
        QA Contact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org

There is a problem with the backlight of my FTS Celsius H265 notebook and its
NVIDIA G96GLM [Quadro FX 770M] graphics card. When I leave my computer
unattended for a while Xfce turns off the backlight of my computer as there is
no input. However as soon as it does so my screen stays permanently black. When
I move the mouse the backlight goes on again; however the screen content
remains black. The same problem occurs with s2ram; after awaking from s2ram
Num-Lock works well but the screen stays black. However to evoke this error it
isn`t necessary to s2ram; the desktop environment just needs to switch the
backlight off. - using kernel 4.15.0-rc9+.
