https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107978

            Bug ID: 107978
Summary: [amdgpu] Switching to tty fails with DisplayPort
monitor going to sleep (REG_WAIT timeout /
                    dce110_stream_encoder_dp_blank)
           Product: DRI
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: DRM/AMDgpu
          Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: shtetldik@gmail.com

After upgrading to Linux 4.19-rc3 (from 4.18.x), I can't switch to tty anymore,
the monitor connected over DisplayPort goes into sleep mode.

I see this in dmesg when it happens:
