Subject: [Bug 108821] New: dlopen example with libm.so is incorrect
Date: Thu, 03 Dec 2015 14:58:51 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-108821-11311@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108821
Bug ID: 108821
Summary: dlopen example with libm.so is incorrect
Product: Documentation
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: man-pages
Assignee: documentation_man-pages-ztI5WcYan/vQLgFONoPN62D2FQJk+8+b@public.gmane.org
Reporter: fweimer-H+wXaHxf7aLQT0dZR+AlfA@public.gmane.org
Regression: No
This does not work because libm.so can be a linker script:
handle = dlopen("libm.so", RTLD_LAZY);
The proper way to do this is to include <gnu/lib-names.h> and use LIBM_SO.
