Bug ID: 109338
Summary: hdmi/displayport audio is a semitone lower when amdgpu
driver is used
Product: DRI
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: DRM/AMDgpu
Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: thanosapostolou@outlook.com
I have enabled amdgpu kernel driver for southern islands GPUs with kernel
parameters `radeon.si_support=0 amdgpu.si_support=1`. When amdgpu is used, then
the hdmi/displayport audio is a semitone lower. Audio works properly with
radeon kernel driver. I uploaded a video in order to demonstrate the problem
https://youtu.be/URhOlW5zCp0
Additional info:
* linux kernel: 4.20
* GPU: Radeon HD 7750
* inxi info: https://pastebin.com/LeipSnQj
