Subject: [Bug 11947] New: TFT monitor detected as 1x1 pixels
Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2007 04:38:24 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-11947-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11947
Summary: TFT monitor detected as 1x1 pixels
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
ReportedBy: drzeus-bugzilla-p3sGCRWkH8CeZLLa646FqQ@public.gmane.org
QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org
When I hook up my Fujitsu-Siemens Myrica VQ40-1 (a LCD TV) via DVI, the nouveau
driver refuses to work, citing "no valid modes". The problem is that it
believes that the screen is 1x1 pixels. Screen works fine on a radeon card via
DVI.
The problem is also present in the nv driver.
