Date: Sat, 30 Aug 2008 13:40:56 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-17371-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17371
Summary: Xv on NV18: HD video flickers with Adaptor #0, going
back and forth
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
ReportedBy: diogomfranco-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org
QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org
I'm getting issues with Xv on a GeForce MX4000 (NV18) card; when I play HD
video on mplayer using 'xv:adaptor=0' (the default adaptor), the video does
what is in the summary. If I use 'xv:adaptor=1', the video plays fine. This
doesn't happen with SD video.
I put up a sample on this link (first 12 seconds of Code Geass 20; the problem
is most noticeable on the scene you see the mecha):
