Bug ID: 196121
Summary: ati x200m on Toshiba Sattellite L20-183 cannot resume
from suspend with KMS
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 4.11.5
Hardware: i386
OS: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)

Possible fix
I,am running Gentoo on Toshiba Sattellite L20-183 with ati x200m (RS410) and
Pentium M 760 onboard. Machine cannot resume from suspend getting hard
locked-up. I have to turn it off by pressing power button.
There is nothing inside the logs.
Previously passing "nomodeset" parameter to kernel worked. Now, when ati Xorg
driver cannot be started without KMS, "nomodeset" method doesnt work anymore.
I think that radeon driver needs a quirk to make machine resume from suspend.
With this patch applied to kernel tree Laptop can resume from suspend.
