Subject: [Bug 196269] New: [amdgpu][tahiti xt] dota2 crashes randomly in game
Date: Tue, 04 Jul 2017 01:00:56 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-196269-2300@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196269

            Bug ID: 196269
Summary: [amdgpu][tahiti xt] dota2 crashes randomly in game
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 4.12
          Hardware: x86-64
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
          Priority: P1
         Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
          Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: sylvain.bertrand@gmail.com
        Regression: Yes

steamos debian gnu/linux, mesa 17.1, linux kernel 4.12
Playing with the amdgpu linux module stack leads to random crashes (dota2
closes) while playing dota2 (In linux 4.11.x, the game was hanging for 1-2 secs
randomly)
Playing with the radeon linux module stack is ok, but _significantly_ slower
than the amdgpu linux module stack.
