Subject: [Bug 199619] New: screen stays dark for long on bootup since kernel 4.17.0-rc2+
Date: Fri, 04 May 2018 07:34:18 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-199619-2300@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199619
Bug ID: 199619
Summary: screen stays dark for long on bootup since kernel
4.17.0-rc2+
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 4.17.0-rc2+
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
Reporter: estellnb@elstel.org
Regression: No
When I boot with kernel 4.17.0-rc2+ the screen stays dark for more than 2
minutes before the GUI appears. This is a regression towards 4.16.0-rc3+ where
the GUI had appeared immediately when Xorg had started up.
