Subject: [Bug 208441] New: backports-iwlwifi: "compat: Unknown symbol hash_algo_name" when compiling master
Date: Sun, 05 Jul 2020 11:20:39 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-208441-58281@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208441

            Bug ID: 208441
           Summary: backports-iwlwifi: "compat: Unknown symbol
                    hash_algo_name" when compiling master
           Product: Backports project
           Version: unspecified
    Kernel Version: 4.9.140-tegra
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Backports
          Assignee: backports@vger.kernel.org
          Reporter: koby.aizer@tg-17.com
        Regression: No

I am using an NVIDIA kernel (4.9.140-tegra), and it seems that the modules that
are built using the latest master are broken.

"compat: Unknown symbol hash_algo_name"

I was able to compile and load the module in an older revision
(e9758a83c98ecc6f9a5676e9545e35029a8d6f3) and on release/core52.
