Subject: [Bug 20930] New: Memory leak, crashing applications on PPC64
Date: Sat, 28 Mar 2009 16:03:36 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-20930-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20930
Summary: Memory leak, crashing applications on PPC64
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: PowerPC
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
ReportedBy: gaygirlie-PkbjNfxxIARBDgjK7y7TUQ@public.gmane.org
QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org
After using any application for a while they crash, leaving a note similar to
"Process X (pid:28956) mapped non-existing PCI legacy memory for 00000:f0" in
dmesg. Graphics intensive apps like Firefox or similar crash faster than
others. This does not occur with nv driver.
