Subject: [Bug 211003] New: radeon "BUG: unable to handle page fault for address" when hot-unplugging another PCI-e device
Date: Sat, 02 Jan 2021 15:52:09 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-211003-2300@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211003
Bug ID: 211003
Summary: radeon "BUG: unable to handle page fault for address"
when hot-unplugging another PCI-e device
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 5.4.80-gentoo-r1-x86_64
Hardware: x86-64
OS: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
Reporter: jernej.jakob@gmail.com
Regression: No
radeon driver, bug happens when hot-unplugging another PCI-e card that is not
the video card (it was removed via /sys/bus/pci/device/.../remove before
hot-unplugging). It may be a hardware-induced error as this motherboard wasn't
designed for hot-plugging (but it usually works)
