Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2021 18:48:43 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-214475-201763@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214475

            Bug ID: 214475
Summary: xfs filesystem not mountable and xfs_repair hangs at
                    function call futex
           Product: File System
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 5.10.40
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: XFS
          Assignee: filesystem_xfs@kernel-bugs.kernel.org
          Reporter: dieter.ferdinand@gmx.de
        Regression: No

hello,
today i have a crash of one of my systems. at this time, i copy files to a
xfs-volume.

after restart of the system, i can't access the disk und try to repair it with
xfs_repair. first time i have problems because the system crashs, i only delete
files and can repair it with xfs_repair. but this time, the program hangs (no
io and no cputime). i can't find a reason for this. i try run it with -n and
this process don't hangs. i can send you the log (ca. 1 1/2 MB). because i have
no important data on this drive, only backups, i reformat it with btrfs to test
this filesystem. all other disks are formated with xfs. i try to find out, why
the program hangs, but with strace i can only see, that all three threads hangs
on ca futex call to wait for something.
