Subject: [Bug 216137] New: Kernel Will Not Compile using GCC 12.1
Date: Wed, 15 Jun 2022 06:26:04 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-216137-28872@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216137

            Bug ID: 216137
Summary: Kernel Will Not Compile using GCC 12.1
           Product: Virtualization
           Version: unspecified
    Kernel Version: 5.18.0 through 5.18.4
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
          Priority: P1
         Component: kvm
          Assignee: virtualization_kvm@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: nanook@eskimo.com
        Regression: No

I've filed a bug on previous versions but it appears to have disappeared from
the system, at least I can not find it with the search tool.

Using gcc 12.1, 5.18.0 through 5.18.4 fails to compile all with this same error
in the kvm section:

 dpkg-source --before-build .
