lsusb -D output for WebCAM
Hi,
I have a noname camera that used to work perfectly (1c3f:2002).
Since I migrated recently to kernel 6.12, it doesnt work anymore, but the
microphone works.
Log when it use to work:
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2
using xhci_hcd
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: config 1 interface 0 altsetting 0
endpoint 0x83 has an invalid bInterval 32, changing to 9
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1c3f,
idProduct=2002, bcdDevice= 1.00
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1,
Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: Product: WEB CAM
Apr 10 17:05:17 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: Manufacturer: WCM_USB
Apr 10 17:05:22 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: Warning! Unlikely big volume range
(=5120), cval->res is probably wrong.
Apr 10 17:05:22 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: [5] FU [Mic Capture Volume] ch = 1, val
= 7680/12800/1
Apr 10 17:05:22 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: Found UVC 1.00 device WEB CAM
(1c3f:2002)
Apr 10 17:05:22 pierre kernel: usb 1-1: UVC non compliance - GET_DEF(PROBE) not
supported. Enabling workaround.
Log Now :
janv. 11 18:01:42 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: new high-speed USB device
number 2 using xhci_hcd
janv. 11 18:01:42 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: config 1 interface 0

janv. 11 18:01:46 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: Found multiple Units with ID
5
janv. 11 18:01:47 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: Warning! Unlikely big volume
range (=5120), cval->res is probably wrong.
janv. 11 18:01:47 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: [5] FU [Mic Capture Volume]
ch = 1, val = 7680/12800/1
Difference is :
janv. 11 18:01:46 pierre.fonteny kernel: usb 3-1: Found multiple Units with ID
5
There are effectively two parts bunitid 5, one for the image, one for the sound
But only the second is taken into account, so only the sound works.
Regards
