Reproduces on stock Arch kernel 7.1.6-arch1-1 (not just CachyOS's patched
linux-cachyos build) — same symptom: ucsi_acpi loaded, device present, driver
never binds, zero dmesg output on both boot and manual bind attempt:
❯ uname -r
lsmod | grep ucsi
readlink /sys/bus/platform/devices/USBC000:00/driver
sudo dmesg | grep -i ucsi
7.1.6-arch1-1
ucsi_acpi 12288 0
typec_ucsi 81920 1 ucsi_acpi
roles 16384 1 typec_ucsi
typec 135168 1 typec_ucsi
